Civil War Battle Maps

In 2018, I started thinking about which Civil War battlefields would be easiest to visit. After looking for a map of Civil War battles, I realized I wasn't able to find a map for these purposes. I was able to find strategic battle maps, or maps detailing the battles of strategic importance, but not a simple map. Moreover, I wanted to find a map that was interactive so that I could read basic facts about each battlefield. The following maps, which were made using Leaflet, include basic facts about Civil War battles.

The map above shows the locations of Civil War battlefields. Each point represents a Civil War battlefield.

The map above shows the locations of Civil War battlefields, with circles sized according to casualty counts. Larger circles represent larger casualty counts, while the color of the circles corresponds to the victor of each battle.
